Development of a new sourcing system

Silentor is a Danish producer and developer of industrial silencers.

They had already for a period of time got some of their silencers produced in Lithuania, but problems appeared when the costs started rising in Lithuania among their suppliers and the suppliers were not at the same time increasing the efficiency.

1.Q consult assisted Silentor building up a new network of potential suppliers and made a new system for the outsourcing of the silencers. New calculation methods were implemented which both Silentor and the suppliers accepted in order Silentor could benchmark each supplier with the others.

1.Q consult also helped to create an understanding among the suppliers and Silentor that only if both sides are satisfied the collaboration could be continued - and this would be achieved only if a plan was made how to optimize on the collaboration.

The job was executed by 1.Q consult in cooperation with Gert Damsted, who is an optimization expert.
