1.Q consult have organized an introductory LEAN seminar together with LATIA

Print

1.Q consult and Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association (LATIA) have organized a seminar about LEAN during the exhibition BALTIC TEXTILE + LEATHER on 17-19th of September in Vilnius, LITEXPO exhibition center.

The seminar was held on the 19th of September 10:00 o’clock and was free of charge. The seminar was done in English with simultaneous translation into Lithuanian.

The introductory LEAN seminar was primarily organized because Lithuania is experiencing significant changes these years: salaries and other costs are rising and the clients are still demanding higher service and lower costs. LEAN is the tool to use for improving efficiency and performance in the companies, keeping the costs down and being able to meet the client’s demands.

Our LEAN expert, Gert Damsted, who made the presentation, had focus on solving practical problems and delivering practical results. The idea was not about making a long scientific explanation about LEAN, but to give a short introduction and give concrete examples of how to use LEAN in practice. Main topics that were covered included:

  • The History behind Lean Production;
  • Lean toolbox,
  • Kaizen – How to get continuous improvements,
  • 5S – how to sort things;
  • Practical discussion on concerned topics.
